Here are a few things that I am especially thankful for in this season:
These two spoiled snuggle-bug princesses!
Other notable items that are listed on our pumpkin: a warm bed to sleep in (especially for naps after long, COLD bike rides), lazy days, the convenience of crockpot cooking, AMAZING FRIENDS!, COFFEE, beautiful trees and fall leaves, a warm winter coats and indoor heat (which we did not have upstairs for 3 years), bike rides and sunshine, supportive co-workers, positive role models, JESUS and our wonderful church family.
To add to the list, I am thankful that we can afford to buy healthy food to nourish our bodies, for a kitchen to cook in, and the skills to turn that food into delicious meals. I am thankful for the ability to share the love, whether by sharing in a meal with others or by making yummy cookies! Speaking of which, below is a recipe for Pumpkin Chocolate Chip cookies that my sister shared with me a few years ago. I am not sure why, but I dug it out this year and have probably made 15 batches of them thus far this season. They are light, fluffy and full of pumpkin goodness, and I hope that you too can enjoy them by making them in your own home.
SOON I will post an update on training and such... but for now, I hope you can enjoy some cookies :)
